So I drove by a Porsche dealer today and there was a Macan parked underneath an overhang. The Macan has really grown on me lately. It drives more like a car than a SUV, has adequate cargo capacity, and is good in snow, important for living in Colorado. Price is pretty high, so I'll probably wait until they depreciate before I buy one.
Anyways, it looked pretty good from a distance. I just went on the dealer's website and it looked promising at first glance. Again I would only buy these used, so I wasn't paying too much attention to this particular car. Second time through the pictures however, things got....interesting.....
Ummmm................... Yeah..............
There appears to be a Tiger painted on the hood.
It's brand new, so I don't know who did this. It probably didn't come from the factory like that, so maybe the dealer did it? Or they took it to a different paint shop?
I would like to erase this from my memory, but it doesn't seem possible.

Oh. it's something about the Macan being the Indonesian word for tiger, that's what my friend who went to the Indonesia launch told me. So they probably did it for advertisement?

That's gotta be a decal, not painted on.
Also there's like a 6+ month waiting list for the things so they're offering short term leases on Boxsters and Caymans to Macan buyers.

Yep, that's correct. Just make sure you pronounce it properly, ma-CHAHN , which is tiger and not ma-KAHn , which is eat, or ma-KAN , which isn't a word. :) I only add this since the dealers all pretty much use the latter two.
